LONDON, 22nd October 2026 - The stage is set for the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 2 Grand Finals, as 32 teams from across the world have been narrowed down to 16 in Lahore, Pakistan. Following an action-packed Group Stage, 12 teams made it directly through to the Grand Finals, and will now be accompanied by four teams that gave it their all in the Survival Stage, continuing their journey for the lion's share of the $500,000 prize pool and the 2026 PMGO Season 2 title.
Day 1 of the 2026 PMGO Season 2 saw the 16 teams of Group A descend on Rondo, Erangel, and Miramar, kicking off the first leg of the tournament. 4K Esports were the first to secure a Chicken Dinner, however it would be S2G Esports who topped the standings with 60 points despite not winning a match. Bigetron by Vitality followed just one point behind on 59, with Horaa Esports (53), INFLUENCE RAGE (52), OLD NOT (47) and AK Gold Esports (42) completing the Group A qualifiers. On Day 2, Wolves Esports topped Group B with 64 points, just one point clear of Vampire Esports (63). ULF Esports (56) finished third, logging a standout 20-elimination Chicken Dinner in Match 1, ahead of The MongolZ (54), Regnum Carya Esports (53) and BUF Esports (48), all booking a direct passage to the Grand Finals.
The Survival Stage saw 16 teams, formed of those who placed 7th-14th in each group, come together in a frantic day of action to decide the last four qualifying slots for the Grand Finals. 4K Esports prevailed with 65 points, sliding into the lead spot, while local teams 777 Esports and LF Esports were eliminated. Alter Ego Ares also made it through with a decisive 5 point lead, alongside Alpha7, and Al Ula to make the final roster heading through.
To conclude Pakistan’s first official global PUBG MOBILE Esports event, the Grand Finals will now determine who will be guaranteed a coveted place at the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC). Marking the introduction of a new format, Day 2 of the competition will see the first-ever themed showmatch on Midnight Hunters Erangel, with the winner earning the right to ban a map option for the all-new Match 13, introduced to increase the likelihood of the title being decided by a WWCD. This final match takes place if no team has already been crowned under SMASH rule by the end of Match 12. In this scenario, the leading team will pick between the remaining two map options for Match 13.

Following up their stunning PMWC victory in August with a 1st placed performance in Group A, S2G Esports looks like the team to beat in the Grand Finals. However, Wolves Esports and Vampire Esports might also stake their claim, with both finishing on higher points totals in Group B. Following strong showings in the Survival Stage, 4K Esports and Alpha7 will feel that they can take this momentum into the weekend to challenge for the title. It’s certainly all to play for as 16 teams prepare to take to the global stage for the final two days of action.
2026 PMGO Season 2 builds on the success of 2026 PMGO Season 1, which drew 1.2 million registrations from 200+ countries and earned a Guinness World Record for the largest ever mobile team-based esports tournament. This fantastic achievement underlines PUBG MOBILE Esports’ commitment to accessibility, and continues its momentum as the most popular battle royale game in esports.
