ARMA REFORGER 1.6 UPDATE RELEASED

Kolguyev, Operation Omega, and more content arrive in the game’s biggest update yet

Bohemia Interactive is excited to announce the release of Arma Reforger’s 1.6 Update, which brings one of the most significant content additions since the game’s launch. Players across all platforms can now take part in Operation Omega, re-visit the island of Kolguyev, and try out a major overhaul of the Conflict game mode.

Watch the trailer for the update here.

New Map: Kolguyev
Rebuilt in the Enfusion engine, the iconic island of Kolguyev returns. Players can explore a rugged volcanic terrain of pine forests, rocky ridges, and abandoned industrial sites, which presents a clear contrast to Everon’s green valleys. The island’s hot springs, sulfur streams, and remains of old coal industry add both atmosphere and strategic depth.

Conflict Reinvented
The classic Conflict experience has been completely reworked into the Headquarters Commander (HQC) mode. Take on the role of Commander, manage resources, construct bases anywhere on the island, and lead squads through assigned objectives. A supply scarcity system introduces new gameplay element, that further encourages the motivation of players to have an impact and be creative.

Singleplayer Scenarios
Update 1.6 introduces two new solo experiences for players looking to test their skills alone:

  • Operation Omega: A five-episode campaign following a special forces unit behind enemy lines.
  • Air Support: A mission-based scenario focused on helicopter transport, logistics, and close air support.

Both bring back the cinematic, story-driven missions long associated with the Arma series. Check out the trailer here.

Expanded Arsenal and Systems
The armory now includes a range of new weapons and equipment, including the RPG-22 and RPG-75 launchers, new camouflage options, hand flares, and engineer tools like constructable sandbags, static weapons, and anti-personnel mines. System updates include moving on vehicles, reworked FIA factions, HOTAS and peripheral support, enhanced environmental effects, and numerous performance improvements.

About Bohemia Interactive

Our story began with our first game, Arma: Cold War Assault, which was released in 2001. Developed by just a handful of people, this PC-exclusive title became a massive success. It sold well over a million copies, received numerous industry awards, and was praised by critics and players alike. Since then, we've grown from a ragtag bunch of garage devs to an international family of over 350 professionals – working on Arma 3, DayZ, Ylands, Vigor, the Enfusion engine, and various other projects. Our ambition: to make games that act as platforms for people to explore, create, and connect.
